Desire for increased efficiency and cost reduction creates surge in enquiries

E-Max Systems has ended the first half of 2020 in a strong position, despite the disruption to business caused by the ongoing global pandemic.  The company is preparing for a busy six months ahead as UK manufacturing ramps up activity amid increasing calls to reshore more manufacturing operations.

Jason Pritchard, Sales Director of E-Max Systems, said “Since the majority of our team returned to our offices in late May, we have seen a marked increase in the number of enquiries coming through. We’re seeing a trend in companies coming back to work with a renewed desire to become more efficient and reduce costs wherever possible. Implementing an ERP system, like E-Max ERP, enables businesses to streamline their processes and become leaner, whilst also providing valuable real time information from every area of the company to allow better decision making.

As we navigate our way through the Covid-19 situation, businesses that can change direction quickly will be best placed to capture industry opportunities. We’ve already seen many of our customers repurpose some of their manufacturing activities to support our frontline workers and having the flexibility to pivot in this way will be increasingly important for business survival over the next few years.”

New appointments made

E-Max’s response to the elevated level of enquiries has been to take on two new team members. Robin Kennedy has been brought on board as an ERP Sales Consultant, whilst Mike Coleman joins as an ERP Implementation Consultant. Both men bring considerable experience of the manufacturing ERP sector.

Robin Kennedy has over 30 years of successful sales and account management experience, gained both in the UK and internationally. More than half of this time has been spent delivering IT and Enterprise software solutions to multiple industries, including construction and manufacturing. Robin will be based at E-Max’s head office in Glasgow and his responsibilities will include managing E-Max’s Scottish clients and new enquiries.

Mike Colman is a mechanical engineer with 15+ years’ experience in engineering operations. Having worked in numerous roles, from CNC machinist through to production manager, Mike is well-versed in using ERP to collect meaningful usable data and maximise efficiencies and will be sharing that knowledge and experience with E-Max customers as he works with them to manage new ERP implementations. Mike will be based at E-Max’s North East England office in Thornaby.

Further software development

Over the last few months, the E-Max team have continued to progress product development and features. A new customer support portal was launched to the company’s client base at the start of July and plans are well advanced for the launch of a cloud version of their flagship software, E-Max ERP, at the end of 2020.

Jason Pritchard concluded “Whilst there’s no doubt it has been a tumultuous first half of the year, we have made some significant gains over this time. The company has a solid financial base and our team is excited about the opportunities the next six months present, both for our customers and for us.”
